Course & logistics

Meeting point & check-in

  • Meet at the house
  • Walk over to the start line at 8:15am
  • Group photo at 8:29am

Swim details

  • Out-and-back (x2) from shore to floating orange buoy
  • Swim is directly in front of the house
  • Kayakers present for safety and guidance
  • Wetsuit optional
  • Water temperature expected mid–low 60s
  • Half-swim option available

Equipment: goggles; optional wetsuit, swim cap

Bike details

  • Hilly route (~85 ft/mile climbing)
  • Road or gravel bike recommended
  • Draft legal
  • Some cracked road sections
  • One section requires either crossing traffic or riding wrong way on shoulder briefly
  • Route will be marked with flour

Equipment: bike, helmet, at least one water bottle, snacks, route guidance

Run details

  • One major hill (done twice)
  • Mix of asphalt and gravel
  • Two turns total
  • Water station around mile 4 and at finish
  • Drafting legal

Safety, expectations, and the “fine print”
